Description

An immersion trip into nature

Your adventure starts out with pick-up on air-conditioned transportation which will take you to La Cruz town where you will have time to walk to the viewpoint of the main plaza. This town is considered to be one of the most charming cities in Guanacaste. This small beach town has a fun ‘surfers’ vibe and cheerful customs and culture that will make you fall in love with the place. The excursion continues with a drive to another spot for a short walk along a river in search of monkeys, aquatic birds, reptiles, and sloths. And then go to Cuajiniquil where the boat is waiting for you to take you to explore the mangroves. Now it’s time to relax in a comfortable boat ride through the amazing mangrove ecosystem, one of the largest mangrove wetlands in all of Central America! This nature lover tour is great for all ages. Be fascinated by the thriving and diverse eco-system of white, black, red, cat, and pineapple mangroves. Your bilingual guide will share the beauty and natural history of this complex, self-sustaining mangrove system that contains more than 55 species of fish. Discover a wide variety of tropical flora and fauna in the canals and howl with the playful white-faced monkeys, take pictures of stunning iguanas, see the great power of crocodiles, and search for rare snakes. Bird watchers await an extraordinary experience to watch and study the avifauna in a natural, undisturbed setting!

Exploring the best Mangroves!

The swamps and mangroves of Costa Rica are awe-inspiring no matter how many times you’ve seen them. Consistent exposure to sunlight, tropical rains, and high temperatures are a recipe for biological diversity. These complex biological ecosystems contain dense foliage, massive trees, and more than half of all the living things known to man. A trip down the mangrove canals will reveal a surprising number of wading birds (they can gather in flocks up to the thousands), curious iguanas and monkeys keeping watch from tree limbs, and the occasional tapir pushing through the undergrowth.
