 Your Costa Rica Congo Trail ATV excursion begins with transportation from one of the resorts along the Gulf of Papagayo. Enjoy the rugged but inspiring scenery on your journey to the meeting point, tucked away in nature and far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Your friendly guides will welcome you and give you instructions on how to safely ride your all-terrain vehicle. You’ll be equipped with safety gear and a helmet. Once you’re ready, set off into the countryside for an unforgettable ride!

 Follow your bilingual guides into the bumpy terrain of the Guanacaste province, helping you navigate along the unparalleled scenery that makes Costa Rica a nature lover’s preferred getaway. Your jagged but exhilarating ride will take you over hills, onward and upward so you can get some breathtaking views from the mountain tops.

Upon your descent, you’ll encounter the amazing landscape of the Guanacaste dry forest, offering you even more incredible vistas as you pass through the hidden mountainside in high gear. Then power your vehicle over streams to make a real splash as the adrenaline pulsates through your body. When your ATV adventure is complete, return to the home base and hop on your vehicle for the return ride to your resort.

Practical Information

  • Wear comfortable clothes (long pants) and sneakers
  • Bring insect repellent, sunglasses, and a camera
  • Children 16 years and younger are not allowed
  • Not recommended for pregnant women or people with physical limitations
  • All participants must sign a release of liability
    • Please note: All Costa Rica excursions must meet a minimum capacity of passengers. Upon check-in at their resort, guests should meet with an Amstar representative to confirm their chosen excursion will take place.
