Description

Tulum-Xel Ha Tour: Get started with a visit to magical Tulum

Take round-trip transportation from your resort to an adventure that starts out in Tulum, where you’ll learn interesting facts about the fascinating Mayan culture that's ingrained into this setting. Stare out into the deep, blue Mexican Caribbean from your awesome vantage point at Tulum’s well-preserved ruins.

Race to the cliff top where you’ll find ‘El Castillo’, a temple built as a watchtower and lighthouse for incoming ships. And make sure to check out the ‘Templo de las Pinturas’, a temple with a partially restored mural. There’s plenty to see, and you can take in all the major highlights as your English-speaking guide points them out. You also get 30 minutes of free time to explore this 13th-century walled site as you wish.

Swing in a hammock and swim in the coves of Xel-Ha

Once you’ve discovered all the cultural nuances of the only Mayan city facing the Caribbean, it’s off to the second part of your Tulum and Xel-Ha tour, as you make your way to one of the largest natural aquariums in the world — Xel-Ha!

In this unique reef ecosystem, fresh underwater rivers meet the Mexican Caribbean and the calm waters are perfect for learning how to snorkel. You can also use a floating tube and paddle in the serene inlets and coves, where it’s usual to see tons of colorful fish swimming about.

You can also take a break either by floating down the river, swinging in a hammock, or strolling around the jungle paths. Treat yourself any way you choose.

Get your fix of adrenaline and good food, too - Xel Ha Tulum Tour

Ready for the next level of adventure? Whether you’re looking to have a relaxing time or to get your adrenaline pumping, Xel-Ha has everything you could need — jungle trekking, bike riding through the bushes, and jumping off cliffs back into the water!

When you get hungry, head toward one of the restaurants in this eco-park and indulge in a wide variety of food offered in the different buffets. Or just sit by one of the coves with a cold drink in your hand while you enjoy the view.

This Tulum and Xel-Ha tour will let you take in one of Mexico’s oldest cultural and archaeological wonders at Tulum — with added adventure by the time you swing by Xel-Ha! The best of both worlds is in the Riviera Maya.
