Description
Go whale watching in Cabo’s blue waters
Your sailing adventure begins with a morning transfer from your resort in San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas to the marina, where a catamaran or similar vessel await. Meet your boat’s crew and climb aboard as you set sail across the Cabo shore. Delight in the view of the city and its surrounding sights as you savor a breakfast and kick back with drinks from an open bar. As the Pacific blue waters surround you, listen to your guides as they keep an eye out for whales.
Every December through March, whales make a 6,000-mile trek from the cold Alaskan seas down to the Baja Peninsula to birth baby whales, allowing them to grow enough blubber in warm waters. Watch for the mothers and babies swimming together not too far from your boat. And if you’re lucky, you’ll capture the perfect photo of a tail fin flipping above the ocean. You might also see a whale breaching above the surface, or a burst of water shooting up from a whale’s blowhole!
Take a nice walking tour around downtown
Your Cabo whale watching journey doesn’t take you only to the sea. You’ll also spend quality time inside downtown Cabo San Lucas to experience its magnificent sights — and tastes. Visit a tequila shop and sample this authentic Mexican liquor. Stop by a glassblowing factory and see how glass works are meticulously crafted.
And if you’d like to shop till you drop, you’ll have free time for shopping around Cabo’s various boutiques and stores. When your adventure comes to a close, hop back on your vehicle and take the return ride back to your resort with plenty of great memories of whale watching and sightseeing in Cabo.
