Description
Go from Cabo to La Paz for SunRider’s best diving
Your baja diving adventure begins with transportation from your resort in Los Cabos toward the city of La Paz, one of the grandest gateways to the Sea of Cortez and its marvelous diving adventures. On the way, you’ll stop halfway at the magical town of Todos Santos for a delightful breakfast at one of its famous cafes.
Following your meal, you’ll continue to La Paz until arriving at the marina, where your SunRider catamaran will be on standby. A certified divemaster and an expert crew will welcome you aboard the vessel and then take you to Espiritu Santo island. That’s where you’ll explore an underwater universe where sea lions, fish and a colorful coral reef have their protected homes.
Dive with sea lions and other marine life in Espiritu Santo
As you make your way to Espiritu Santo island, gear up with your diving equipment and listen to the instructions from your divemaster. Once you’ve made it to your diving spot, jump right into the Sea of Cortez and begin exploring ‘the world’s aquarium’ with your divemaster leading the way. Say hello to the gentle sea lions that inhabit the area and be surrounded by thousands of fish of all sorts.
You’ll have the opportunity to experience two dives at some of the area’s magical diving spots, such as Los Islotes, El Bajo, Swanee Reef and Salvatierra. And if conditions allow, you might even explore one of the area’s sunken boats such as the Canonero C-54, Lapas 03, or Fang Ming, the first ship in Latin America to be intentionally sunk to create an artificial reef.
Enjoy lunch, snacks and drinks on your way back
When you return to your SunRider catamaran, your boat crew will offer you deli baguettes, chips, fresh fruit, cookies, soft drinks and two beers per adult as you make your way back to La Paz. On your return to land, your transportation will be waiting to take you back to Los Cabos after a most amazing day of underwater adventure in Baja’s waters.
