Have you dreamed of swimming with a dolphin? This swim with dolphins Playa del Carmen excursion will make your dreams come true. You’ll get right into the water with bottlenose dolphins for a special swim and ride program that will have you playing, touching and riding on these fun-loving sea mammals.

Description

Visit Playa del Carmen’s Dolphinaris!

Your dolphin adventure begins at Dolphinaris Park, conveniently located just 15 minutes north of Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya. You’ll have a chance to interact with dolphins after receiving a 20-minute introduction to these playful creatures, learning how to ‘talk’ with them and how to keep each other safe while they take you for a ride. Loving trainers will be on hand to assist you and anyone ages 6 and older partaking in this program.


Swim and ride with dolphins

After your training, it’s time to get into the water with the dolphins. Your 40 minutes of water time allows you to greet them with a kiss, take a ride on their bellies as they swim backwards, and swim with the dolphins while wearing a dive mask so you can watch them move underwater. Photographers are available for photo shoots for you and your dolphin, at an additional fee.

Practical Information

  • Wear your swimsuit for the program (no shorts, cut-offs, or items with metal fasteners, rivets, zippers, or buckles are allowed)
  • People with heart or back-related problems and pregnant women are not allowed to participate in any interactive programs with dolphins
  • Children under 4 feet (1.22 meters) in height must be supervised at all times by a responsible, paying adult who also participates in the dolphin interactions
  • It is not permitted to use sunscreen products, to introduce any electronic device (telephones, PDAs, MP3 players, portable game consoles, cameras, video cameras, etc.) or any personal items including hairpins, hats/caps, sun-glasses or jewelry (rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, wrist-watches) in the "Swimmers' Only" designated land and water areas
  • It is mandatory to wear a life-jacket at all times during the program
  • Please note that our partner will be providing transportation in their vehicle so that you can enjoy this exciting excursion.
  • All Dolphinaris' facilities welcome visitors with disabilities
