Description
Fly above the Cabo desert on monster zip lines
The day begins with comfortable, air-conditioned transportation from your resort to the Wild Canyon Eco-Park, home to one of Los Cabos’ longest zip lines. Waiting for you at the park, a 2,673 ft. long mega zip But not to worry -you'll start out on an ‘easier’ zip and build up to the ‘monster!’ This exhilarating zip line circuit delivers a spectacular aerial tour as you zip back and forth over the El Tule Canyon The lines vary in length from a short ‘get-your-feet-wet’ zip of 164 ft. to the big boys, including 3 over 2,600 feet long and as high as 393 ft. above the canyon floor. There’s even a wild ‘tandem’ zip where up to 4 adventurers can hook onto the line - at the same time - for a crazy ride! The finale is more than a half-mile long, and you’ll rocket through the air at speeds of up to 56 miles per hour!
The Sierra De La Laguna Mountains
The park is built on 247 acres of private, desert property, all part of the landscape that belongs to Sierra De La Laguna mountain range. Although much further north, parts of these mountains have been declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, to protect the unique diversity of life it holds. In keeping with the park’s eco-friendly philosophy, all the activities and installations were especially designed to blend in with the ecosystem while also preserving its unique flora and fauna. The base camp sits upon a small plateau with a commanding view of the zip line course and the canyon below. There’s even a small oasis down below, with palms and other desert greenery, which is more pronounced and vibrant during the raining season, when water is more plentiful in the tributaries snaking through the canyon.
Wild Canyon’s Animal Kingdom
Once you’re back down on ‘terra firma”, an unforgettable menagerie awaits in Wild Canyon’s on-site animal sanctuary, offering up-close experiences with tropical birds, reptiles and more. Take a leisurely stroll through the exhibits to visit with iguanas, a baby crocodile, and other rescued animals. Get a kick out of posing for some special photo opportunities as a dozen lovebirds land gently on your fingertips to snack on seeds from the palm of your hand and colorful macaws take turns plucking treats from between your lips. A perfect ‘extra’ on your Monster Zip Lines excursion, to learn about, and bond with, some of the world’s most interesting creatures.
Important note: There is an additional $20 USD park entrance fee per person due upon check-in.
