Description
Take a guided city tour of Kingston, Jamaica’s capital
Start out your journey of both city and country with early morning pick-up from your resort. You’ll arrive to the capital city of Kingston, which shines with its combination of modernity and tradition. Your knowledgeable and friendly guide will give you plenty of information about the sights and places you’ll visit, starting with the National Heroes Park, the burial site of many of Jamaica’s illustrious citizens.
Speaking of national heroes, the excursion includes entrance to the internationally renowned Bob Marley Museum, where you’ll get fantastic insight into the life and music of the King of Reggae himself. Pose with Bob’s life-size statue, see his former home and feel the ‘one love’ of his legacy. Later, you’ll also see historically important places such as Emancipation Park, Parish Church and Devon House, the home of Jamaica’s first black millionaire.
Find yourself in the colorful Blue Mountains
The other part of your expedition takes you to the countryside, all the way to Jamaica’s Blue Mountains and its incredibly inspiring views. The elevation and the soil’s richness allow the perfect coffee to grow, and you’ll get to learn about this firsthand with a guided tour of the Creighton Coffee Plantation. See where the island’s well known Blue Mountain Coffee comes from, and admire picture-perfect views of nature from a great height.
To refuel from all the exploration of both town and country, you’ll get to enjoy a lunch that packs the flavors of Jamaica. You’ll take your meal at either Crystal Edge or Eits Cafe, both restaurants known for their tasty dishes and their amazing mountain views. If time allows, the excursion will wrap up with a brief stop at Devon House, where you can purchase their famous ice cream, before taking the return ride to your resort.
