Description
Help endangered crocodiles
This full-day crocs and turtles tour begins with pick-up at your Huatulco-area resort. You’ll travel up the coast to La Ventanilla, a small eco-community project where a group of dedicated families work to reforest and re-populate trees and mangroves, home to the endangered crocodiles living in this region. A bilingual guide will paddle through this natural habitat aboard wooden canoes, thus giving you an up-close look at the home of hundreds of crocs.
Discover wild turtles and eco-warriors
Your crocs and turtles tour then takes you closer to the large population of turtles that call the area home with your next stop in Mazunte, another coastal community. The National Turtle Research Center is there, and you’ll see a variety of live turtles and fish. Finish your green day by visiting a local community enterprise producing environmentally-friendly cosmetics. Learn all about their production and the easy ways you can help our planet in your everyday life. Later, you’ll have time for lunch (not included in this excursion) and some free time to relax in this ecological community before returning to your resort.
