Description

Meet your divemaster guide!

Your PADI-certified divemaster guide will welcome you at the Cozumel local pier before boarding a motor-sailing catamaran. During transit, your snorkeling guide will hand you the mandatory snorkel equipment and instruct you on all rules and preventive hand signaling. Afterward, follow him into the ocean. You will awe at the vibrant and abundant marine life.

The amazing reef structures at the Colombia Reef is a perfect site to spot some Caribbean rays and huge sponges. Then you will visit the Palancar Reef. A gentle current and well-behaved schools of colored Caribbean fish will welcome you at this natural marine nursery.

Be amazed at the "El Cielo" bay

Then you will have the amazing opportunity to visit to the sanctuary of the starfish, "El Cielo". It is a short visit but definitely worth it as you will be astonished by the amount of starfish. Afterward, you will stop at "El Cielito", an incredible sandbar with calm, crystal clear, and shallow waters, where you can enjoy this iconic place together with family and friends.

Enjoy Playa Mia Grand Beach Park

After the snorkeling activity, the bar on board is open for a well-deserved, ice-cold draft beer, a salty margarita, or a refreshing rum punch mix. It is also time to weigh anchor for Cozumel’s favorite beach location: Playa Mia Grand Beach Park. There, after the buffet lunch, you are welcome to explore the park and sunbathe on the beach or splash into the pools. Thrill at the 200-foot long Twin Twister Water slides or engage in any of the 20+ complimentary services and attractions included.

There are also optional amenities, such as an a-la-carte menu, cash bar, massage, wave runners, parasailing, fish therapy, and others, are available for an additional fee. Ask your host for prices.

Head back with a beautiful Catamaran sail

Later, when it is time to go back. As your catamaran leisurely navigates back along the coast, you're welcome to sunbathe, snooze, or enjoy the sea breeze on deck until the crew cast ropes back at the pier.

Practical Information

Please bring comfortable beachwear, swimwear, long-sleeved UV filtering shirts, sandals, hats, and cash, or credit card (VISA, Master Card, or American Express) for shopping and gratuities.
Please note that our partner will be providing transportation in their vehicle so that you can enjoy this exciting excursion.
IMPORTANT: Playa Mia is committed to protecting the ocean environment and Cozumel’s vast coral reefs; therefore, the use of any type of sunscreen, sunblock, or suntan lotion that could eventually make its way into the ocean is no longer allowed. All guests must shower BEFORE entering either the ocean or Playa Mia’s pools. We suggest the use of long-sleeved UV-filtering shirts, hats, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the Sun. Coral, fish, and all other sea creatures thank you for your cooperation!

Snorkel Tour Restrictions
This tour is not available for people in wheelchairs.
This excursion requires extreme physical effort.
Pregnant women and people with conditions of asthma, heart disease, diabetes, seizures, respiratory diseases, blood pressure diseases, back/neck injuries, or people who use antidepressant medications, the participation of people taking medication is not allowed lithium-based, beta-blockers, or base (vein) constrictors.
The minimum age to participate in the snorkeling activity is 8 years old.
The maximum weight of a person to participate in the snorkeling activity is 260 pounds / 120 kg.
All participants must be competent, self-sufficient swimmers and be in good health.
Participants must be able to descend and ascend the stairs of the boat to/from the sea snorkeling activity and snorkel with current over the reefs for up to 50 minutes.
The use of LIFE JACKET is MANDATORY in the snorkeling activity. There will be no exceptions.
All participants must follow the instructions of the Captain and/or the crew.
Participants must comply with the rules of use of the Arrecifes de Cozumel National Marine Park.
Underage participants must be accompanied, directly supervised, and cared for by a responsible chaperone, parent (s), or legal guardian at all times.
Alcoholic beverages will be served only AFTER the snorkeling activity on the Beach.

Beach activity restrictions
Participants must comply with all instructions given by the staff.
Participants must comply with the specific rules of each individual activity inside the park.
Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied, directly supervised, and cared for by a responsible adult companion, parent(s), or legal guardian at all times.
The legal drinking age in Mexico is 18 years old. Minors will not be served alcohol, even with parental consent.
Playa Mia reserves the right to refuse service of alcoholic beverages to guests who appear intoxicated, are unruly, or are underage.
Playa Mia may require, at its sole discretion, a valid photo ID as proof of age for the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Services and activities are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
