Overview
Take a journey of adventures on the world’s #1 downhill bicycle tour. Featured in Vogue, Departure Town and Country Magazine. A must do tour in Jamaica!
Description
Famous for the world renowned coffee, the Blue Mountains of Jamaica is home to one of the most authentic tours on the island: the Blue Mountain Bicycle Tour. Come experience true Jamaican hospitality as expert guides take you on a cultural adventure.
The journey east takes us past historical sites, banana plantations and local markets giving clients a glimpse of life in rural areas. This is a site not seen by most visitors to the island. The first stop will be at a open-air restaurant for a sumptuous Jamaican brunch. Clients will be given a brief orientation of the day’s activities and fitted with their safety equipment.
Next stop is the starting point, located at a higher elevation. It is time for the descent to begin. The tour moves at a leisurely pace of 5-10 mph. While cruising down the mountainside, you will learn about Jamaican culture, view plantations of the world-famous Blue Mountain Coffee, observe beautiful landscapes with majestic waterfalls—some cascading from as far as 50 feet above misty slopes (best described by New York Times as “One of the best scenic vistas in the Caribbean”), and observe various species of Jamaica birds and blossoming plant life. What better way to end an exciting day than with a refreshing swim at a cool cascading waterfall. The perfect end to a dynamic day.
