Join us for a leisurely sail aboard a comfortable catamaran as we head for the Marietas. The Marietas Islands are located approximately 21 miles northwest of Puerto Vallarta and mark the entrance to Bandaras Bay from the Pacific. They are comprised of four distinct, large volcanic rock formations jutting out of the ocean floor. The area has been classified a National Wildlife Preserve due to the numerous species of birds, marine mammals, and other sea life that call the Marieta’s their home.
While sailing to Islands, keep an eye out for dolphins or whales (seasonal), which thrive in these waters. Once at the islands, your Activiites Director will lead you on a bird watching tour followed by snorkeling and kayaking. On the return trip, you’ll stop at a beautiful secluded beach (weather conditions permitting) where you can relax, swim, or join a guided nature walk to discover inter-tidal life. Later in the afternoon you’ll be served a Deli lunch made fresh onboard and a bar will also be open for cold beverages.
